A large celery root (350g - 400g after peeling), a bag of oatmeal (500g), a bag of "fish spices", nori flakes (optional), 2 spoons of soy sauce, 1/4 - 1/2 l vegetable broth (can be made from dried blocks), breadcrumb, oil for frying.
We mix oatmeal with cooked and grated celery root, "fish spice", and soy sauce. If we want to include nori flakes we do so now too. We then add the vegetable broth and leave to sit in the fridge for 3-4 hours (ideally over night). It is important to mix thoroughly, ideally with an electric mixing bowl so that the patties will stick together. Before frying we add breadcrumb until mixture is similar to that of meatloaf batter. We then make patties which we coat in breadcrumb and fry in at least 1cm of frying oil.
